New Women’s Circle

It has been my great joy over the years to gather small groups of people together to listen devoutly to one another and deepen in our understanding of the Sacred, one another, and ourselves. Safe space is created by committing to confidentiality, respect, showing up consistently, and listening with a heart willing to be moved. In the next year I hope to continue to add small groups to gather around a specific topic, within a set timeframe.

Beginning March 28th, I will begin a 6-week Women’s Circle at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, AL. We will be reading Vincent Pizutto’s book Contemplating Christ The Gospels and the Interior Life. This powerful work is best approached at a savoring, slow pace, and so we will likely only cover the first half in this session. My experience is that the material we study is important and even more important is the sharing of our stories and being present in prayer together. Each session will incorporate time for a spiritual practice, a bit of “teaching” and discussion within the group.

Space is limited to no more than 15 women so that we can create an environment conducive to sharing and intimacy. The cost for the 6-week session is $125 and scholarship is available. In the spirit of creating community, participants are expected to be present for most, if not all, of the gatherings which will be at 11 am on 3/28,, 4/4, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, and 5/9.

Are you yearning for a community to study, and share, and pray together? If so, email me for registration or to be added to the waitlist. If you would like for me to consider facilitating an existing group, please reach out and we can discuss that possibility too. Feel free to share this information with others.

As I write this, the dogwood tree across the street is absolutely showing off! And the oak leaf hydrangeas that I tortured in pots for way too long, are resiliently sprouting in their new home in my back yard. Let’s hope Beau and Grace give the hydrangeas a chance to survive! And may you thrive and shine this day as well.
